Hello everyone,

I have been a lurker for a few weeks and now I have finally had my lightbulb moment So,ive decided to start a diary to keep me on track,even if no-one else wants to read it!

I have been in debts for a few years now and last year had a tough year and it spiraled from there. But,today, after having no post for almost a week, almost every letter I opened was from a DCA :eek: My smallest debt is for a silly £27 going right up to £9k. Ive decided that I really do need to sort this out but i am on a very limited income,although i am determined to pay back everything i owe. I owe around £17k at present.

The first step i took was to phone the CCCS but as my income is less than my outgoings then i have no surplus money to clear these debts so they suggested paying a token £1 per month plus whatever else i could afford to pay.

Some steps i have already taken to clear my debts are:

1. Ebay whatever i can - my friend told me that people would buy almost anything off ebay if it is within the allowed items
2. Join a cashback site - i do most shopping online anyway so even 10p here and there would help
3. look into PPI reclaims - i tried to use my PPI when i first got ill and low and behold,i was not covered for what i was told i would be covered for
4. reclaim bank charges under hardship

If anyone can give any advice on how i can reduce my debts even quicker, i would be greatful for it.
