Tax Rebate

I think i may be entitled to some sort of rebate but dont know where to start.

I started work part way through the tax year 2009/2010 and earned 6318.71 and paid 248.20 with my tax code being 647L.

Ive looked on 3rd party refund sites, but a bit wary of using them.

Any tips or advise where to start, I would be extremely grateful!:)

I'd phone or preferably write to your tax office saying what you've said here - it does sound on the face of it as if you may be due a rebate, assuming that you weren't claiming JSA before you started work
  • thanks for that. didnt want to sound like a muppet when I come to contact them.
