CAIS is the credit reference agency Experian.
Lender feels they need to submit information to them by the looks of it. Call the lender and ask.
If it was a bad thing surely they would not allow you to see it?
May be that loan has been apporved and they are registering with Experian to report the account conductI am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Not if everything is pretty straightforward.
It can take longer and can take less. I have had an offer done issued 2 days after application before now.
What it means is guesswork to everybody other than the lender.
Give them a call and ask. It's the only way to know for sure, and will put your mind at rest hopefully.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I don't understand the message but in Experian-world 'CAIS' stands for Credit Account Information Sharing. Perhaps it means something else in the context of your mortgage application though.
