I always freeze my mince afta halving the packet.
Once I've made my meal out of it, can I freeze it again?

I always work on the basis that if you have changed its state from raw to cooked then it is fine to freeze it again. If it had already been frozen cooked and then added to a meal I wouldn't re-freeze. Hope this makes sense.0

I'll second what Father_Jack and Littlebean say. I always freeze my fresh meat (saves that awful feeling when it's gone out of date and you haven't used it  ) so when it's defrosted, I'll cook with it, and then freeze my cooked meal, ie shepherd's pie, sausage and pasta etc.Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0

:wall: This is def a lighbulb moment...... I have always been too scared of freezing meat twice..... never thought it was poss... so thanks for asking the question. This will save all that last minute panic of cooking fresh meat near its use by date before freezing !
