Tesco Specific Coupons

Can someone just clarify something for me please.
If I have coupons that state Tesco and a product (anchor butter) will other stores take these? I know it sounds daft!
I'm sure some take others but not sure who.

Hiya TraceyB - I recently had some cat food ones ie 50p off Go Cat and they will only scan at Tescos if the item is purchased. As for other supermarkets, I know that at my local Asda on the self-scanners is a huge sign stating no Tesco vouchers allowed. However, different stores at different locations vary so may be worth just trying.
