Ipswich Hotel?

Hi and thank you for reading this.

I am looking for a hotel that won't break the bank but is safe and clean. (solo female)
I would like it to be as close to the Regent theatre as possible.

Any ideas?

Hi anniestar,

There aren't really any hotels close to the Regent within safe walking distance. However, taxi's in Ipswich are pretty cheap.
The Novotel is nice and has refurbished all it's rooms now. Also as a solo female I have stayed there several times but not the cheapest (cheaper at weekends, as is more of a busines hotel).
Haven't sayed there, but there is a brand new Ramada Encore near the train station which advertises from £39 a night and should be new enough to be a pretty good standard! Less than 5 minutes in a taxi - around £5. HTH
