I got a quote from an insurance company too which tracked at £42.50 but it will only be paid if you take out the policy. I did take out a policy with another insurance company which tracked as well at £42.50 however this was back in June and no payment has been received from them. I've tried to open a cb query but it won't let me?

Hmmm, lots of noob questions here. Things to note when using Top Cash Back, Quidco and the like:

    1. the cashback is not guaranteed - see it as a bonus, don't rely on it. In personal experience over perhaps the last three or four years I've had trouble with maybe just 2 or 3% of my transactions - so far only one looks like it will never pay up. I bought a pet insurance policy once and the cashback paid up a year later - so be patient.

    2. it is normal for things like quotes to track even though you didn't buy anything - they will eventually be declined probably within a week. It looks like some retailers manually accept or reject the payments so there can be a lag and it looks like you might get something.

    3. look around, there are lots of things that will pay you small amounts just for running quotes or signing up.

    4. quidco will only allow you to raise a query on a payment once a certain amount of time has passed - you've either left it too late or you're trying too early. Read the error message you get for indication on this.

Personally I prefer top cash back, they don't charge an annual fee and in my experience seem more responsive to queries.
