release of trustee and new job

Hi My partner started his new job this week after being out of work and then self employed since the start of his BR. Today we received a letter from OR stating she is applying to be removed as trustee. Is there any advice about what our timing should be in letting the OR know about his new job? we have been prompt with discussing all other changes with them.
Also we did our SOA in jan - obviously things have changed since then - can we re do it?we have things like childcare to add...
