Sky Phone Line

Hi Guys,
Just a quick question, we have been bankrupt for about a week now and I am now strating to get letters from companies to say they have been informed (that was quick!) for example the water board and mobile phones have been switched off (no money owed to either) and I was just wondering what I can expect from Sky TV? We currently have tv, phone and broadband with them that we can continue to pay from our surplus but I was wondering if they are likely to switch us off the phone line, which then in turn means the broadband goes. Should I ring Sky to explain or wait and see what they do? Just wondering on your experiences.
Thanks
Cissie

if sky were not a creditor and NOT included in your bankruptcy then service should continue as normal really....if you want piece of mind by all means ring them but i'll bet they're not too interestedWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

We did not have a problem with Sky, Virgin or any of the utilities during my BR, have been BR just over 10 months now and all have continued without a problem.:pB&SC No. 298

I must say that I am surprised to hear that your mobiles and water (!!) have been "switched off". When I was going through it last April I changed all my direct debits including mobiles & Sky to my new bank account (Barclays Basic) and there was no problem or interruption. The only ones to tell me they had been informed of my bankruptcy were the life insurance people, but that was expected. I never told Sky (I am the same as you - tv, phone and broadband with them), nor did anyone else, and have never had a problem. If you are paying them regularly then I cant see why they would turn down your business. good luck!"I got food in my belly

Thanks for the answers guys.
My water hasn't been switched off I just had a letter to state they had been informed and to keep the payments up to date, which we always have doen. Never owed them anything.
The mobile phones received a letter informing them, dont know how so quick as they were not listed anywhere as again we didn't owe anything to them and never have but they switched us off instantly. Oh well pay as you go it is!

What moblie phone company was this ?0 -
It was O2. They told us we could get pay as you go sims and they would transfer our numbers over to the sims however today they have told us they have completley closed everything and we would just have to use the new numbers0

strange though even though its in their T&C's in the 3+ years here i've never seen it happen...unless its been included in bankruptcyWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

We have a contract with o2 and it is still running 10 months into our BR, strange one really!:pB&SC No. 298

It is strange, although I expected not to be able to have a mobile contract but the fact I didn't owe them anything and O2 were not listed anywhere as being connected with us, when we spoke to them they said they had recieved a letter informing them of the banckruptcy. Thats loyalty for ya, we've been with them for around 10 years with no missed payments!
Never mind its a small price to pay considering everything else
