If a Bank declines an application for a remortgage, and one decides to reapply and amend a previous application by increasing deposit or releasing less equity etc, I am curious as to whether:
- A new credit check would be required?
- Whether amending an application by any of the above examples can be effective? I understand that much depends on the reasons for refusal but wonder whether in a general sense doing things like this can increase the confidence or reduce the risk from the perspective of the underwriters?
- Whether Banks have policies on not accepting applications from the same person within a specific period after a refusal?
