Mortgage Declined - help

Hi – our porting mortgage has been declined (although we have now managed to get it referred back to the underwriter). They have an issue on how my husband is being paid. He is a partner in an LLP so doesn’t get wage slips for all his earnings although we provided bank statements of the money going into his account. They said they would send a form to the senior partner (his boss) who could complete this. Anyone know the chances of getting a “declined” turned around??

Also we paid £850 for a survey – can we use this survey with another mortgage company. If it comes to that?

As a partner in an LLP. Your husband will receive a determined share of profit.

Can you demonstrate the amount you OH has earnt in the preceding 3 years from his share of the profit?

His profit share is fixed but he has only been a partner for 4 months. Prior to that he was paid as an employee (he has his P60 etc from this time). Thanks

This is complex Stephanie - as a broker myself there are number of ways of proceeding but you must be aware that if you proceed the wrong way now this could ruin your chances with other lenders subsequently.
