Just bought from Dixons online an X19TV Advent 19" widescreen monitor/TV. This is a freestanding widescreen PC Monitor ith a TV tuner built in, delivered for £174.98. This comes with a remote control and is wall mountable.
Do a search on x19tv and dixons and you'll find it - direct links don't seen to work as the session times out!
Be quick ,both Dixons and Pc World stock goes up and down like a...

this same model but 17 inch is available on the PC world website for under £150 - don't forget quico also..... can reserve and pick it up - shops around Newcastle upon tyne have these in stock
only downside is no scart sockets...0 -
I bought one of these from pcw a couple of months ago, great little box. Got it wall mounted in the kitchen and hooked up to RF2 on my sky+
No scart isn't too much of an issue as it also has composite Red/White/Yellow inputs.
The only downside I found was that the speakers are a bit quiet. Managed to 'Macgyver' an old pair of PC speakers to the wall bracket I used though...0 -
Any idea what the picture quality is like on one of these. Is it comparable with a standard LCD telly? Very tempted by this as I have been looking for a sub £200 19-20 inch LCD for our bedroom for some time.0

Exactly the same, you could say it is a TV with optional computer input.
Note that this unit has an analogue tuner so only 4/5 tv
channels, still I have been tempted.ac's lovechild0 -

I think they are wrong.
If your dvd has scart out you can get a scart plug in adaptor that will allow 3 cables to be attached to it..... red & white audio and Yellow video these then plug into the monitor.
I dont expect the monitor has a scart input and thats what they mean ,but a dvd can still be connected, your dvd probably has these as outputs anyway.0
