need a valuation on shared ownership

Hi,
I am very new to all this but i have been reading the posts on here and everyone is so supportive!!
I have been to CAB and they have suggested i go br. They told me i need to get my flat valued to prove i am in negative equity. My only problem is that i am in shared ownership flat (i own 45%) and to get a valuation i have to ask the HA to put my flat on the market so they can get it valued (and i don't want to sell!) I spoke to 2 estate agents on the high street who said they could not do a valuation for me until instructed to do so by HA. Should i get a private valuation (mum is willing to pay for it for me) or do the courts need more than one valuation?
This is probably a silly question but i really do know nothing!!! Any advice is much appreciated.

You will have to tell the HA if you go BR anyway! so whats the problem! they can through you out! as you have a 45% stake and its the same as having a 100% mortgage!
Why dont you first out all the info into the web site below and post on here with an explination about the HA and see what peopl make of it! as we all need to see how much debt you have your earnings etc to be able to assess you!
Tech 2If Carling made web-sites this would proberly be the best website in the world :T
