OR interview tomorrow

Hiya, got my OR phone interview in the morning, bit scared about it even tho she sounded lovely when i spoke to her earlier in the week.

Few questions
If my only income is benefits & child maintenance and i have a surplus can they touch it? & how much can i expect to pay from surplus?
Also, my bank has frozen my account so i can't print out any bank statements to send to the OR is that ok?? & the only debt statements i have are the last things they all sent me, i'm obviously not very organised!!! but the OR wants 12 months of everything!!!

I'm hoping after i have this interview out the way i'll start to feel better?!?!?

please try not to worry. i was nervous before mine but the lady was professional, it wasn't a grilling just a conversation.

if you are on benefits and no income then you won't get an IPA.

don't worry if you haven't got the bank statements, just tell them you can't access it. provide them with any you do have and they can get the rest themselves if they want to

thank you for your reply, i've had a migraine every day since i went to court last thursday, i just feel crap, my thing is that i feel i've taken the easy way out & i'm worried something is gonna come bite me on the bum!!!!

Hi DM, Confused is right you won't get an IPA/IPO. Before the call just look through your SOA so your familiar with what you said. If you have not sent off your bank/credit statements have them to hand. The OR will just go through the SOA with you. Also before the call have a big mug of tea ready or a bottle of water, and while they are writing things down you can have sips of tea/water, so you don't feel you have to fill in the pauses. And if you don’t know the answer to a question just say so. Also have a list with all questions ‘you’ want to ask.

Hugs to you hun. Sorry you've had a migraine, no doubt its all the stress and worry. Hopefully you might relax a little after the OR interview tomorrow, it wont be as bad as you are imagining.

Cant really add to the advice above but just to say, you have not taken the easy way out. Going BR is the last resort and is not taken lightly by most people. What you are feeling is completely normal and I was like that too. I've been discharged nearly 2 months now and I promise it gets easier to deal with.

i was in your shoes this time last week and i've lived to tell the tale!

i'm still a bit confused after my OR interview but i think the stress of that week caught up with me and i have had rotten migraines and a stinking cold since.

you'll be fine. answer everything you can and send them what you have. thats all you can do xxx

ps i feel the same as you too - the wretched guilt for having to go br also makes me feel that something will jump up and bite me:(
