quick ways to make money

  • Do you currently work? If it is possible you could do a few extra hours in a bar or resturants. Extra money is good and lots of tips.

The biggest online wage I ever earnt was a text service. Mainly people would text in for addresses or phone numbers. but I would reply on my computer and get 50p per response. But it just got so boring. You could easily make minimun wage but it is incredibly boring.

Selling on ebay is good for making money if you have things around you don't want/need.

Also while I was at University I used to design images and slogans and upload them onto a website. People could use the images to put on theirmugs, posters, magnets, keyrings etc. I got a % of the sale price. It was only an extra £20-30 a week. But I went on the site the other day and there are so many members now compared to 5 years ago, doubt it would be as successful unless you stand out lots.

Anyway browse this forum, there its thoussands of posts of people asking similar with great response.

Just one thing - nothing comes easy. Everything takes hard work. So if it looks too good to be true it probably is, so avoid.

Can you remember the name of the company that you worked for doing the text thing? I need something to support me while I'm setting up my own company but can't really see any solutions apart from going back to full time employment..

I'd also be grateful to know the text thing. I presume I could do that in the evening, when my little boy is in bed?

    Thanks in advance.

Can you do a few hours volunteering a week, look out for a opportunity to give you experience and a reference, which will then put you in good stead for finding a job, its also handy to mention that you are doing good work in your interviews. I got a job through a volunteering opport, you never know where it might lead.

    good luck

Lot of interest in this, it appears; put me down on the list of people who've had their interest piqued by this.

I used to do the AQA thing, which wasn't easy work and was 30p per message; more money for less work sounds like a good idea from here :D

  • Thanks PurpleSmile!

Am looking for a new job at the moment, and this would ideally compliment another job I'm going for.

If you don't mind me asking, how much do they pay?

    Thanks,

    Sim.

PS - As there is nothing on Google about the company!

PPS - They are legit yes?!

Well I don't understand that. But I first read about Quext it on this forum. I got paid by them and had work with them, so they do exist and it is a legit way to earn money.

It must be registered as a business, if not they were extremley good at hiding the fact, as they where extremley professional. Always got paid on time and they had good software.

    From their website:
Quext LLP is a Limited Liability Partnership, registered in England and Wales (OC350289).
The registered office of Quext LLP is 524 Allesley Old Road, Coventry

they have facebook and twitter, so I guess if there are any questions regarding how legit they are or about anything else, you could ask on there, or email them

  • Have you tried joining up to survey sites? I know the money is not instant but it pays off in the long run. I'm a member of quite a few sites and i like to save my earnings up all year and cash them out just before Christmas. This really helps me as I'm a single mother with two kids and the money really helps, I have just counted up all my earnings for this year and I've made £347.18 so far. Couldn't believe i made so much!!:T That's my Christmas sorted. Best of luck.
