Please advise.
Can my employer make additional voluntary contributions to my student loan? I.e not from my salary but as a joining bonus or something like that.
I have heard of some employers paying off all of a new employees student loan. But can't find any information about this on-line.
Thanks in advance

They can certainly pay you an extra amount equal to what it would take to pay off your loan - you could then choose to do with it what you wish. I don't know if they could pay i directly into your account.
Choosing a profession or employer because they offer to pay off your loan seems a bit short-sighted.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0 -
I've never heard of such a scheme and I agree with your user name, it does sound madness.
A number of companies offer "golden hellos" but to match them against a mystery figure that could run to tens of thousands does seem a bit bizarre!Thinking critically since 1996....0
