    brand of trainers that went out of fashion in the uk, but have recently made a very big comeback
    You mean I'm actually wearing something that's in fashion?! :o I didn't even know!

    Thanks everyone. I'll stick em in the machine on a low wash. Fingers crossed...

    And I'll look in footlocker as there are some tartan ones that have caught my eye!

    I have had dozens of pairs of Cons over the years and they've always been fine in the washing machine for me. I go mountain biking a lot and my trainers are prone to getting muddy so if I couldn't stick them in the washing machine I'd be knackered!!! (o;

    Yes, Smileymum that's the ones. They're so pretty! (But my son calls them my clown shoes so I suppose they're not to everyone's taste!)

    Well, I washed them on a delicate wash at 30 degrees. They are mostly clean except the back of the heel which I'll need to scrub tomorrow. They could have probably done with a more vigorous wash but the star sign is split a little on one of them. Don't know whether they were already like that. They get some heavy wear.

    Thanks again everyone.

    I used to wear them in the `60s, they were also known as basketball shoes. We could only get red or black then!

  • On a similar subject, has anyone tried putting slippers in the washing machine? Will they disintegrate?

    This is the type of slipper I mean:

    LOL! Hee hee!
    Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.
