Br no bank account need to pay in cheque

I have no bank account as currently br I got paid a cheque the other day from my old job which I left on bad terms can I pay the cheque into my partners bank account even though it's written to me??

Have you tried Co-Op or Barclays for a bank account?0

We ended up with Barclays to start with and we are with Co-Op now, they have been better to me than Barclays were0

Most likely not - its usually got to be in the name of the account holder, they wouldn't accept in my unmarried surname even though I'd double barrelled adding mr lbm after it! Had to have id/proof to accept it in branch.
Perhaps get your own account sorted out to put Q in there..
