tax credits, change of circumstances and bankruptcy

i sent a letter to tax credits a couple of weeks ago (following advice from here as i had been trying relentlessly to ring them!!) regarding a change in my circumstances meaning that presumably my payments would cease or maybe i'd have to make a joint claim?

anyways, i also became bankrupt shortly afterwards so now i'm a bit stressed as obviously i was entitled to tc before my circumstances changed but i've not heard a word from them regarding whether the payments have now ceased - plus, if they do pay any money into my account, i won't be able to pay it back as i can no longer use that account.

i did state this in the letter but not heard a word:(

just when i thought i could begin to stop worrying and beating myself up regards the bankruptcy, this thought has struck me whilst reading through some other posts and i'm frantic now.

any advice please?

maybe get a new bank account a very basic one , and have them pay money in there.if you have to pay back least you will have it .. or maybe ring them they seem to like that better than a letter ..good luck

i have recently opened a basic bank account so i will carry on with the redial button tomorrow in the hope of speaking to a person.

btw - love the pic in your avatar. i had a beautiful black lab x for 17 years. i still miss her!
