Tesco is currently doing 2ltr bottles of Fairy fabric softener for:
HALF PRICE Was £1.58 Now 79p - valid from 20/09/2006 until 24/10/2006
...which works out cheaper than their own brand.
The T&C's don't say you must have a promotional pack. It does say "you can apply for as many books as you like with the appropriate number of purchases of Fairy Non Bio or Fairy Fabric Softener". It also says they can subsitute for another title in the event of unavailablity.

I ordered a set about a month ago, and got a letter this week from them to say they have been so popular that they are currently out of stock but are expecting more in mid October - I'm pleased that they are restocking (and not saying only whilst stocks last), so I hope to put them by for Xmas pressies.0
