Orange/T-mobile roaming?

So today users of both networks are supposed to be able to roam onto the other network when not on there home network, I phoned up as couldn't get it to work and got told this is not activated in my area, I wonder if anyone else in N.I has this issue or is it just me?, Wouldn't be surprised if N.I was left out again.

Hi Slugger - I've just signed up online with T Mobile. Apparently it's supposed to switch automatically but it didn't, so I did a manual selection for Orange and it seems to be working. Try signing up on this https://www.t-mobile.co.uk/online-optin/check-eligibility/ - Orange have a similar link (not sure who you are with) hope it works.0

It's just T Mobile 2G that's available to Orange users at the moment, 3G will follow some time next year0
