Could be facing redundacy which case bankruptcy will almost certainly follow.
I know a lot of employers now do credit checks, have any recent bankrupts found this has gone against them considerably in looking for new work?
Or is it worth even trying to get a job? I would prefer to work if I can.

depends on what sort of work you doHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.0 -

i'm working in the financial sector, and while my current employer is ok with the br, i know that now i am looking for a new job i will struggle due to the credit checks done by potential employers. it is making things more complicated, and i'm looking at a new career path, however, if br is right for you then do you have alternatives? i didn't.
is there a br clause in your current contract? were you credit checked for your current job? it's hard to say because it also depends on the individual employer

At present I work for a local authority and may fall victim to the coming cuts, however if I was to survive the axe I have made enquiries and they say I do not have to even inform them of my financial situation.
It is only a issue if you manage large budgets.
I am concerned if I have to start making applications in the private sector.
