I've bought from grabitnow with no problems but not big items.

And I'm posting this from my own EEE which I love (had it for about 2 and a half years I think)

If you haven't used linux before then updating programs etc on this can seem a bit tricky - but there's a site called eeeuser that has helped me with anything I've needed.

That is the problem: it has a tiny screen (does not even fill the case) and it is underpowered by today's standards. For just a little more you can get a "state of the art" 10" netbook, which is much nicer to use. Yes, it will be slightly larger and slightly heavier, but it is absolutely worth it.

Think they are doing these on amazon for £116 delivered but maybe not the exact same, not sure.

That's the point of netbooks though. They were designed to be very small and efficient so you could take one with you easily and have a long battery life for a price worth paying. They're not very powerful because they don't need to be and if they were the battery wouldn't last very long. Sadly a lot of companies have destroyed the concept by introducing models for £350+ with a lot more power and they've ended up with a traditional laptop with a slightly smaller screen!

For web browsing, etc. true netbooks should have more than enough power, if you want to do something that requires more power then you're probably better of just buying a laptop

The Samsung NC130 for example is on offer at the moment for £197 or so (as per Hot UK Deals site) - MUCH better piece of equipment.

This is OK for surfing and playing online games; but if at any point you wanted to save a game that isn't online then you're stuck as it's only got limited storage.
I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing! ;)

Or even less - £165.99 Argos Ebay Outlet - only any good if you are buying for a girl though, it's a pink one.

Sorry, my last post shouldv'e said Samsung N130, not NC130.

The £197 one comes from IT247 (there was a code to get 2.5% off, but I can't quite spot it now)

My mobile phone has more on board memory than this...

    It's not a laptop - it's a netbook. It's a small, cheaper version of a laptop.

You can pick up a second hand, good laptop on eBay at the same price or slightly more expensive and you will actually get some memory and processing power for your money.

    Not a good deal, unfortunately.
