Amazon won't post MP3 players outside UK-why?

My MP3 player screen has packed up so I need to get a new one. I'm living in Italy for a year and electronics are such a rip off here so it's cheaper to buy off amazon UK and pay for delivery to Italy. However, I have tried to buy one off amazon but it says they can only deliver it to the UK. Is there are any reason for this, and are there any other UK sites who will deliver internationally? Or do all UK websites have this rule?

Lots of companies will not ship to Italy due to problems with the Italian Post Office/deliveries/losses.0
