Ive had it for a few years now. Standard Capital One Silver. I know they are just fobbing me off. Even when i threatened them they just said they will close account when they recieve the last payment to clear account. I never recieved the letter saying my interest was going up aswell. Come Mid January i will have it paid off and will be cutting it up. Their loss not mine!:rotfl:0 -
not sure what mine is, just the normal card, i have had mine for nearly 5 years, i pay above the min payment, when my statements come in i dont bother opening, has i know that i pay that amount each month, and the card is cut up anyway, i havent spent on it for over 2 years now, will have to dig out the statements.0

So far so good, i have waited a while to post an update as i have been waiting to get the money to pay off a card.
A quick update since October 5th 2006
Visa - £2623 Down £27
Capital 1 - £0 Down £500
Cahoot - £3627 Down £214
Coop - £877 Down £23
Smile - £1582 Down £168
Total £8709 Down £932
£768 to go to meet my aim of paying off £1700 by April this year. Things are going well so far. I also have a spare £320 in my bank and even give the missus £100 to treat herself. I am continuing with the matched betting and since the 5th October have made £740. Some has been used for Christmas but i have a balance of somewhere over £400 and growing. Thats a spare £720 readily available. I would like to encourage people to try the matched betting. You do not need any knowledge of sport only basic numbers and as long as you are carful you can not lose. This has helped me immensely. Thanks MSE!!!
Next month i have my car insurance to pay so i guess the £320 will pay for that.
And finally i am claiming back £678 from halifax and £200 Capital One in bank charges. I am still waiting to hear of the outcome.
To summarise i am happy so far and well on target to meet my aim and more.
Hopefully i can keep it up.:T0 -
An end of April Update as set out in my targets above.
Things have gone really well thye last few months thanks to the matched betting i have been doing. (Again this is not real betting where i can lose money but risk free betting gaining bonuses from bookmakers. - See MSE thread on this).
I have paid for my car insurance and recieved a total of £900 from reclaiming bank charges off the Halifax and Capital One. I have recieved a new egg card with 0% balance transfer which has helped slightly. I am giving the oher half more money to treat her self and have paid £250 for a deposit on a holiday in October so all in all i am very pleased with my progress.
A summary of debt so far.
Capital One - Paid Off
Visa - £2605
Egg - £831 (Transferred balance from Coop @ 0% apr for 12 months)
Cahoot - 3534
Smile - £1382
Total £8352 Down £357 with £831 in bank account
Total Debt £7521 Paying off £2126 since end of January beating target by £426:T0 -
Next targets to be set for the end of August.
The main things to pay during this time are...
1. Car tax
2. Birthdays for my 2 kids and partner.
3 £750 rest of holiday balance
This is a considerabe amount which is going to give me more of an incentive to reach my target as i am going to have to work extra hard.
I am giving myself 4 months to pay of another £1000
I aim to pay this on my Visa by initially paying my egg card and transfering the balance from my visa to use the 0% interest balance transfer.0 -
well done, that's fantastic
keep up the good work!

Well done on exceeding your April target!
I'm impressed how much you've made from matched betting, I've been hovering around that forum for a while now learning more about it and think I'll be doing my first matched bet soon, bit nervous though!
Good luck with achieving your next goal
