Cheaper Books

Hi one site I regularly use is http://www.bookbrain.co.uk/ where it searches up to 14 internet bookstores to find which one sells the book you want cheapest including P&P where applicable.
Amazon is quite often not the cheapest. Also computer manuals http://www.compman.co.uk/ (they sell 1,000s of non-computer books) let you write an online review of a book you have read, and if they use it on their website, give you a 5% electronic voucher off your next purchase.
I have used bookbrain many times and computer manuals as well (bought a gardening book last time).

another good one to use is https://www.123pricecheck.co.uk - you can also check prices of cd/dvd's etc - they again do a comprehensive search including postage.HOWEVER -sometimes, play.com say they do not have the book, but when checking their site after - they do! - otherwise, it's an excellent site and I never buy without checking there first.0

https://www.bol.com (books on line) is run by the DMA group, the same people responsible for all those brochures that offer you six books for 50p each, then tie you into a catalogue commitment except that your only commitment with bol is to buy another book within six months. They sell new books at 60% of RRP, with £1 P&P - free if you buy three books or more (maximum of 10 per order). Warning - they can be slow.
Occasionally, https://www.thebookpeople.co.uk have some good deals, especially on box sets. If you are a teacher, they are the same people who do the book deals that tend to end up in the staff room - except with a better selection.'Imagine something inspiring that somebody once said to you and go out there and win!'0 -
Sometimes Amazon is not the cheapest, but as I've stated in a former post talking about Pricenoia , there are many Amazon stores and you can get it from third parties that use to have really nice prices... In fact a lot of bookstores sell as Third parties at Amazon.
This little pricenoia site let you check the cheapest possibility out of 6x3=18 (6 Amazons, 3 kind of seller (new, used, third party)). I use to check it always when ordering, and sometimes get surprises...0
