How to get clothes cheaply from GAP (sale times)

I was inspired to post this after seeing a post of 25% off (US only) mistakenly added to the QGIWYC board. I know GAP (at least the ones I have visited) often has more amazing discounts than this and thought I would share some of my tips.
If you visit Gap regularly you will occasionally find items with more than 75% off on the sale racks (when they're desperate to get rid of things). The pattern I have spotted is that sale posters are put up (at this time there is usually nothing worth getting), then further reduction posters (cheaper still but still not great), then final reduction posters. It's worth looking when the final reduction posters are up and sometimes as soon as the posters come down things are even cheaper yet again. Mid-season sales are not usually as good as end of season sales. The only problem is it is often all the things people have not already bought which can mean lots of sizes such as XS and S and peculiar colours, but I have managed to get lots of worthwhile things in XL and not so peculiar colours/designs).
Also take advantage of GAP's price adjustment policy detailed on the back of the receipt, where you can. Take the receipt back within 14 days and if the item has been reduced you get refunded the difference in the price.

I was buying a cardigan for my mum last year
and the girl serving reckoned there was no time
limit for returns.
I always look through the discount rails especialy
in the boys clothes as there are really good bargains
between 99p to £4.99,bought t shirts last year for this
Summer none of them were more than £2.99.All nice
ones as well in good colours with nice designs on them.
I like their cotton knit ribbed poloneck jumpers,
live in them in the winter time the
most I have ever paid is £9.99 mostly around £6.99.
I just sit back and wait for reductions and
I always buy the XL size.Recently bought two
really nice stripey t shirts for £3.99 each to
wear next Summer.0
