returning a faulty item

my hoover is 2 months old and now faulty. i have the receipt.

would argos refund my money as i dont want a replacement?

    You can get a repair, refund or replacment.

    Explain to them that as it is only 2 months old and broken already, you will not be satisfied with a repair or replacement, but want a refund so you can purchase an alternative product that will hopefully be of better quality!

    With Argos I find it all depends on the store whether they will refund or not.

    I had a monitor that broke after 11weeks and they would not refund. I spoke to TS who backed up Argos on this matter so I had to accept a repair plus go without the monitor whilst it was being repaired. I always tell people not to purchase electrical goods from Argos now.
