£10,000 Giveaway win!

Hey Guys, I am in a bit of a dilehma as what to do.
I won a £10,000 fastcar giveaway in May through MSE and have only recieved half the products. I know I shouldn`t be complaining but I feel that I have some right to these products.

The company (Creative Media Ltd) which I think is part of a organisation (Future Publishing Ltd) as the rules for the competition are with them. I have recieved most of my prizes but the company just brushes me off saying they have been busy.
I have been phoning and emailing but eerytime a different excuse.

I gained contact for one of the companies Raccoon with which I am due a prize and they said they cant remember agreeing to my prize but there would be no problem if Creative Media just phoned them and confirmed.

I asked a number of times for Creative Media to contact this company but I keep getting told "they are employing delaying techniques!"
Can I do anything about this?
Please help :D

This is from Velvet Gloves comping guide ( Sticky) on the main competition forum:
7 What happens if my prize doesn’t turn up?
This is going to be individual to each comp. Usually it will state in the T & C for each comp how long it should take for the prizes to be dispatched to winners. As a general rule though or in the absence of any particular details in the T & C, allow 28 days, (allow more if we are experiencing postal strikes or extreme weather conditions). If the prize hasn't arrived by then, get in touch with the company offering the prize. Try to contact the person whose details you have & ask politely if there is a problem with delivery. A telephone call is the best way, but failing that try emailing them. If they don't reply, look on the original website for contact details & contact them, again being as polite as you can.

If you still get no response from them, there are a few different things you can try.

The Institute of Sales Promotions complaints@isp.org.uk lay down the guidelines which comp organisors must follow. MSE Compers have reported that they are very good at investigating dodgy comps & missing prizes with one chap in particular Edwin Mutton, being an absolute star.

The Advertising Standards Authority have an online complaints form.

I had an issue with a prize not turning up & after chasing politely for 5 months, I mentioned that I had been advised to talk to the Institute of Sales Promotions about the matter. Funnily enough that resulted in a letter of apology within a few days, along with a box of ‘Apology Goodies’ & my prize turned up 2 weeks later. Just remember to keep your cool & remain polite.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Eldge

My advice would be to write to both companies setting out which items you received and setting out those that were not but which were clearly stated as part of the prize. Advise them that these have been undelivered since May and list the efforts that you have gone to, to resolve the matter and their response. Further that you have no option in the circumstances but to consult the Institute of Promotional Marketing regarding the matter if you do not have a response within 48 hours therein. Mark the correspondence to Chief Executive or some other senior personnel and as a header "Escalated complaint" and flag the email as urgent.
If they dont respond see what the IPM can do, here is the link http://www.theipm.org.uk/about/abt_promotional_marketing.aspx
Hope that helps and good luck.
