    ok I've found these dates were Scotland played Spain 27 February 1985 World Cup Qualifier Group7 & the manager was Jock Stein
    Since then they've played 2 friendlies together the later was in 2004 & the manager was Berti Vogts from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scotland_national_football_team_2000%E2%80%932019_results
    & http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scotland_national_football_team#2000s
    I needed to make a quick phone call to my son:- are friendlies classed as full international matches, he says they are, thus making Berti Vogts the answer :j
