Didn't exist when I had kids, but would have claimed it if it had existed. Seemed bizarre introduction as stated aim of increasing healthy eating seemed impossible to police - surely free fruit and veg vouchers (akin to milk vouchers) would have made more sense?
Wonder how many spent it on healthy eating and how many on ciggies?0

Don't think it existed when my youngest was born in 2008 so it literally must of lasted a year or two. I can understand milk vouchers or veg if they really think it would make a difference especially to really low income families who do try but min wage plus baby on way means times are very tight but paying a lump in cash at 30 weeks pregnant to every pregnant woman is mind boggling.
I have a bit of a joke about buying a hand bag or shoes but I wonder how many grants have actually been spent on the associated costs of baby and not cigs, drink, tatoos peircings or whatever else chav types spend money on.

Of course I was going to claim it..I'd be daft not to.
I have no qualms about it at all, I pay thousands in tax every year so am not going to feel bad about claiming back £190 :AMetranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0

It didn't exist when I had my boys but if I was having them now? Hmm who knows but probably yes (my life would be completely different as to how it is now, so it really is unknown territory). We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0

My wife got this earlier in the year - it's supposed to be so mothers-to-be can eat healthy food as that costs more it seems. It is a bit odd really but I'd like to know if it did change anyone's dietary habits.
£190 buys a fair few lentils!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
