Co-Op extra discounts on food

This is my favourite money saver that I can use on a regular basis. If you shop in the co-op they often have offers where you Buy2 and save so much. This also applies if the items have been discounted with yellow stickers (i.e. if the item has reached their sell-by date). I bought 2 lots of pasta sauce for 20p each - there was an offer on that you could buy 2 for 2 quid. At the checkout the offer still applied. The Co-Op paid me 95p to buy their items. This is just an example - it always works so keep your eyes peepled. Especially good to look for discounted stuff about an hour before closing time.

Just to be clear, are you saying that the person who served you took 95p out of the till and gave you it, or did you buy other stuff, so that you did actually end up paying something at the till?

Nope - I didnt get given 95p out of the till. I have no wish to be so blatant - they might recognise the loophole and change it...95p was deducted from the bill so in essence the co-op paid me to takeaway these items. It works every time. I am happy to pop extra items in my shoppoing basket and then get more than the price I pay for them deducted from my bill. Any clearer?
