Hi everyone. I just wanted to check in and let you all know that OH has received Early Discharge as of 25th September. BR date was 24th March so that's only 6 months, which is fabulous.
However, ever since he received the letter from the OR advising that she was going to start the early discharge process, he started getting nasty letters again from both Barclays Partner Finance and a DCA called Apex Credit Management Ltd, who say they have bought the debt from Barclays. To date, we have been sending the letters to the OR, who has written back to say that she has written strong letters to both of them.
The day the Early Discharge letter arrived so did one from Barclays and one from Apex. Apex are threatening to send a doorstep collector round!
Currently, OH landlords are having some painting work done on his house and we are worried that Apex might send someone round while OH is at work and the doors are open for the painter. (OH has no say in when this work is done!)
Please can you advise what we shoud do about these letters now he has been discharged? And, what, if any recourse he might have if Apex gain entry to his property in his absence?
We are in the procees of sorting out my lease for OH to move in with me but we really don't want any of this to follow him. Any advice would be much appreciated.

BPF are the scum of the earth, I say this as DH has had terrible trouble with them, they have denied receiving his BR paperwork despite it being sent at least 5 times by post and twice by fax.
He wrote a formal complaint to them and got a crap response back saying that now they had the paperwork they would action it, did they? did they heck! within 3 weeks they started again sending arrears notices!!
So he complained to the FLA, and BPF had the cheek to basically ignore everything they said and say again they never had the paperwork, so the case worker at the FLA has now sent over proof of the faxes and copies of all our letters and the phone bills etc etc etc...... and said that they have to sort it immediately and that husband should be due compensation due to the stress and distress this has all caused!!!
The letters and calls have finally stopped, and we are just waiting for BPF to finally acknowledge that he is BR, on his credit report they are still reporting his debt as being in arrears.... so it will be interesting to see what happens when we start the credit clean up this month.
They are the worst company I have ever had to deal with, be prepared for a fight, and you may have to go to the FLA and FOS like we did, but if enough of us do so then hopefully they will get in trouble.
As for Apex, I would tell them you are BR and that you will not allow anyone from them to visit you - we had the joys of Mercers on our tail for 6 months - who are also total and utter (insert the worst swear word you can think of here!)
Sorry for the long reply but this is one of my favourite rants lol! x0
