I'm 99% sure I saw some in Mr M's the other day, along with big jars of the pickling vinegar etc.... this was in York.

Maybe give them a call before you go in case I saw wrong, just to save your time (and petrol?!).

    Hope I helped!

Yup, In Mr M's, 750g for £1, 1ltr vinegar also £1. (Don't buy the spice pack on the same shelf, it's £1.50,for one large jar dose. Put some pepper corns and dried chilli flakes in and it will bite back lovely).

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Bought mine on our local market over two weeks ago (3lb for £2) - and I even piclkled them as well! (Well, knowing me they could still be sitting in the bag!) Think I've seen some at Mr T's as well.

Yeah I saw some in Asda last week, big plastic bag with all the shallots and other onions. Don't know the price but there was a lot in the pack. I just recall thinking, god i bet they are a pain to peel..
