Thank you Pollybear I'm off to do just that
Vanilla I was thinking of tipping everything onto my bed, at least the floors surfaces were clear. Cleaning them then start the put back?
Problem with my room is its dingy, wallpaper torn, differnent colour walls, rug I was given and still landdlords orange curtains up. I hate that room. Need to get some pride somehow
You'll get there but don't beat yourself up about it. My bedroom has 2 walls blue, 2 red, thomas the tank engine boarder and little green men drew on the walls and star curtains. It was the boys room. :rotfl:
Right better go sort our bedding.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
.... need to cry. My bedroom is a complete disaster. Wasn't prepared for Master Bedroom today.
Must get head in gear. Cannot fail today. I sooooooooo don't want to do it. Sound like a stroppy teenager!
My house is the pits
It has taken me 5 years to get my bedroom anything like habitable.. and my house is a complete bombsite.
Focus on one part of the list.. change bedding and the decluttering bits first.. there is then less rubbish about the place.. maybe fill a binbag for the bin and a binbag for charity shop.. or just 2 for the bin.. I have a rule that anything that is delivered to the house.. eg. a next order.. the big bag is filled with stuff to leave.. so there is at least as much going out of the house as there is coming in. It doesn't work so well this time of year when I am doing the christmas shopping but it is great for the rest of the year.
Join a couple of HHC's today and see what you get done.. don't expect it all to be done and loking fabulous in week one.. t won't be.. it didn't get that messy in a few hours so don't expect to unmess it in such a short space of time.. Try a bit of dot-to-dotting in there over the next few weeks.. it WILL make a difference.. promise!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Bedding in TD, net curtain (mouldy at the bottom-uuurrrgghhh!!!) in the WM. Cleared most surfaces, all clothes put away, wardrobe floors sorted.I have 3 carriers full of rubbish and 2 binbags of stuff I've bought on Ebay for DD for christmas and birthday thats going to my mums loft shortly for hiding until its needed. Just had a quick lunch and then off to clean now that I've decluttered. Need to take all the read books to mums as well for a charity coffee mornings book stall. Its a very long time since I did more than the bare minimum in my room and it looked such a state so I'm surprised how quickly its looking better (well apart from the inch of dust that I'm just off to sort!!) and I feel really good about it. Almost wish I'd taken a before photo to compare with an after one!lol!!July grocery- 24.40/220. NSD-1/3.
Myself, DD, 2 cats, 35 weeks pregnant.

:oJust de-boned a chicken and rolled it up with garlic, rosemary, parsley and a bayleaf. I am sooooo capable of distracting myself from housework!:whistle:Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.0 -
Delicious - if you don't love it - get rid of it, there is no space in your life for it. Do you need a rug?
Dusting all done, just having lunch and a couple of jobs on here and then HHSorting before my friend comes to help me with my governor application. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Right, back from mum and baby group, baby in bed, husband out of bed (he got home from work at 6am) so now I can go make a start on the bedroom
I'm going up armed with a bin bag for chrity shop, not coming down til it's filled! Will hoover once the baby gets up cos I'll do his room too while I'm up there.0 -

Thanks people! Well window sills washed and window frames as they have had horrible black bits on them, going to have to see what that is! Floors swept and everything clear so I can remove stuff off my bed. Plan to put that away (wardrobes are bursting with stuff that needs sorting but that will have to wait, my main concern right now is the room as a whole)
My rug? Yeah need it, laminate floor up there, very cold, takes the chill off so have to put up with it untill the room is redecorated and I can save for a new one.
Thank you so much for your advice this past hour. Really was so ready to quit before I even began.
My username doesn't match my house then eh? A reletively new stay at home mam whose dream was to stay at home with her children, just didn't expect so much house work as well.. life is more fun when you're playing, painting, walking, baking etc with children.
I want to do this so I can fulfil my role and feel happier and conentment. Looking forward to when this job comes round again and can think about today, think about the odd jobs i'll hopefully have to do then and really feel proud of the achievement.
Looking forward to the day I can be a real proper flylady, then I can play to my hearts content!
Just finish my cuppa then back to it
Thanks xSave £1000 in a year... £19.28/£1000Miche0
