Ladies, please help me find some shoes!

I have just bought this amazingly pretty dress from All Saints:
http://www.allsaints.com/women/dresses/layla-dress/tokyo-blue/wdg038-1561
I have a couple of parties to go to in the coming months and I was wondering what kind of shoes people think would go well with the dress. I have dark brown hair, dark brown eyes and very pale skin so gold tends to be a no-no as it can make me look washed out.
My shoes budget is around £70 and ideally they would be from somewhere where I could go and try them on before buying them. I'd prefer heels to flats. Any advice on other accessories (bags, jewellery etc) would also be much appreciated!

Oh I love the dress - also gorgeous in the cherry colour but why are they only selling size 6? *stomps feet*
I'm no female Gok Kwan but I think something like these shoes (perhaps minus the glitter) would look good.
And maybe a big pearl cuff bracelet would go well also?"Life is like a game of cards. How about these from new look, I cant post links as I'm a newby, but if you search 'satin bow platform'. They have them in black and navy, but I'd make sure you take the dress with you to check that navy works. And they are cheap as chips!
Accessory wise, I wouldn't want to take too much attention away from that gorgeous dress so I would play it simple with maybe a clutch bag like this newlook one - go on the site and search 'bow frame clutch'- and either black dangly earrings or a cuff.
Hope that helps!0 -
Ooooh, they're both beautiful! Thanks! I was originally thinking of little strappy sandals but now I think I'm going to look for some peep toes like these ones. I will try them on when I am next in town, and probably take the dress along with me to make sure colours match.
I agree about keeping it simple with jewellery and accessories, definitely don't want to take attention away from the prettyness of the dress!0 -
kurt geiger. just them 2 words

suede platforms £620 -
i think some kind of chandelier ear rings would work and you wouldn't need a necklace. something black would be good (and versatile to use with other things!).
in terms of shoes, i'd be inclined to go closed toes so you can wear the dress all winter with tights. something classic might be banker for wearing for a while? how about these cheaper option:

Don't forget that both M&S and Office have sales on at the moment (according to my email inbox! am staying well clear of the shops for a long while).
If you can hold out at all OP, I'd see if you can wait for the other stores to also have their sales on, its around this time and towards the end of October that mid-season sales start, normally 30-50% off this time of year.0 -
The first party that I really want to wear the dress to is at the start of November so I could hold out for a couple more weeks and see if any more sales start. I will definitely have a look in Office when I'm next in town too, although I always find their sales a bit hit and miss. I can usually find lots of shoes that I want but none that actually fit what I am looking for! Not good for the bank account!
In terms of earrings, I don't have my ears pierced so it can be tricky finding them. The only place that I know of which sells lots of clip on earrings (that don't look like Pat Butchers!) is claires accessories but they can look quite cheap, especially the bigger ones. Anyone know of anywhere that sells earrings for non-pierced ears?
Kt8, do you have any particular recommendations from the Kurt Geiger site? I'm happy to spend a bit of extra money if I find some really stunning shoes.
I've got loads of work to do this afternoon but now all I want to do is shoe shop!!:p0 -
