Rubbish, I have one gathering dust used once and after that was too messy and fiddly cheaper to buy a bag of coins0

Sorry to put a downer on the OP but my god this toy is absolute rubbish. It takes 2 hours to make the smallest chocolate coin I've ever seen.
I'd pay £7.50 NOT to have this again.0 -
Great find OP but as others have said, it's rubbish! Unless this is the dream present for your child then I wouldn't bother. Ours was used once and it took hubby and DD forever to make just a couple of chocs.
You can buy chocolate moulds from the likes of Lakeland or as someone above said which I think is fantastic, use an advent calendar insert and melt your own chocolate.0 -
No offence taken
Have no experience of this "toy"-like I said , my son wanted it the other year, but I didn't buy it. Often with stuff like this , I will post it just in case it is helpful to somebody else. I do not take offence at anybody posting "negative " comments about the product- in fact I think it is very helpful to know if something was a hit with the kids or not.
So, as long as nobody is being negative towards me personally-I do not mind the feedback on the products. Some stuff will be a hit and others might be duffers- as long as people don't mind me unknowingly putting the odd "duff" one out there...then all is good in theworld:):hello: SHARING THE LOVE (OF A BARGAIN) x0 -
I agree Nellienoo I think you are right to post it it might be someones top present on their wish list for Xmas and it is a good price for it. The kids do enjoy it though it's the adults who suffer not them
We have probably used it about 3 times in two years and put them off using it just as many times!! It's near the end of it's use for us but my youngest is eight and might still want to make some more god help me!!

I wish someone had posted something like this 2 years ago ..its was on my eldest wishlist.
You guessed it...used once and never again0 -
well i'm delighted i got this as its at the top of my 5 year old's list and i know it will be too hard for him to do on his own and i know it might get played with only twice but he's been on about it for ages and i'm delighted not to have to pay the full amount for it! Great find op, don't feel as bad getting it at this price. x0

WOW, was about to say thanks op,i got this last week in the debenhams sale for £16 ish, was about to order one from amazon and take the debs one back tomorrow!
Think ill not order, and return tomorrow anyway! thanks anyway op, and thanks everyone else for the reviews! typical me didnt even bother to google for reviews on it!is officially a GLEEK0 -
Thanks OP. This has provoked some interesting debate. Its a 'toy', but it needs an adult to help the child do it, which means the adult probably ends up taking over, kids want result ASAP viz chocolate coin, and their attention span is about 30 minutes. Adult gets stressed. End result mess that adult has to clear up and tearful children and probably arguments and recriminations. Did this all with a chocolate melting and moulding thing, we used it once and then got rid. Probably better to spend 2 hours with them doing something else !Still virtually alcohol free since 4/1/15. (10 Xmas/ New Year/Birthday drinks)
