Sister's Credit Card

You are not allowed to take credit of more than £500 without telling the company informed that you are BR. Even though you are BR you are still talking about taking credit out again.
I've asked the IS about this twice now, and twice they have assured me that in their eyes it is the cardholder being advanced the credit (as it is their liability and responsibility) and not the BR's. So it is OK.
But if people aren't sure, then the advice would be to check with your OR first.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

I told my OH's CC compamy of my bankruptcy (before I was discharged) and they declined me as a second cardholder..
Did they ask if you were (or had been) on the application for the additional card? Just curious.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Thanks for that Fermi I am sure you are right but I am trying to keep a low profile at the ORs office
I will prolly try and get one of those pre-pay cards and my sister can load it with some cash for emergencies and purchasing of internet.
We had chucked around that idea as well Its hard to decide what to do for the best.
Yes Whisper my sister is the most lovely person I am so luckey to have her and I tell her this every day
Thanks to everyone who took the time out of there day to answer my query

Interesting.
I wonder if that is an exception, or a trend I haven't noticed?
A CC company can arguably ask that.
Saying that, the legal question of obtaining credit while you are BR is still clear I think. It is the cardholder that does it, not the BR.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
