Need to raise £10k quick
Hi all, was wondering if anyone on here can help me.
I need to apply for a loan of £10k and I need it ASAP.
So can anyone recommend me any companies that I should be using.
Is there any companies which operate a online application that gives a decision more of less instantly?
I'm lookin at getting the loan over a period of 5 years and I can afford to pay 300 to 400 monthly.
Like I said I'm looking to get the money ASAP so the less paperwork involved the better.
Thanks in advance.

I applied on line with them and Moneyback (the same company) through moneysupermarket.com - it said they reply on line but I done it late at night - so message came back they would get back to me within 48 hours - they e mailed me the next day (a Saturday) saying it was successful - I got 20 over 5 years and am paying bout 390 a month so you will be fine - good luck0 -
I got a loan from the AA and they were quite quick with the paperwork, as I needed the money urgently I had to pay the extra £45 for a courier to be sent the next day with the paperwork so I can sign it instantly and money transferred to my bank account. You can wait for the paperwork to be sent to your home address through the post but not sure how quick the turnaround is.
I'm sure they are other loans out there that are online based and less paperwork. I got experience with the AA and had no problems with them and customer service is also good.
Hope the above helps. I'm sure they are others who can help.0 -
Alliance Leicester are good too, my sister got these guys for her loan using moneysupermarket.com as they were the cheapest in the rate provided. So I can recommend A&L and the AA.Lovingitifitsabargain wrote:I applied on line with them and Moneyback (the same company) through moneysupermarket.com - it said they reply on line but I done it late at night - so message came back they would get back to me within 48 hours - they e mailed me the next day (a Saturday) saying it was successful - I got 20 over 5 years and am paying bout 390 a month so you will be fine - good luck0

Thanks for that. Just applied with A&L. Should get a response soon I've been told via email.
Should I also apply with Moneybackbank. Is that not going to look bad on my credit file!!Debt at highest (November 2005) = £35,856

Got a email from them within 5 minutes similar to yours. However then got another email saying:
"Your application is currently being reviewed and you will be contacted within the next 48 hours by either telephone or post by either ourselves or an alternative loan provider to advise you of the decision."
Have a funny feeling I might be rejected, anyway, I'll wait till tomorrow. Thanks for your help:DDebt at highest (November 2005) = £35,856

I think thats the norm with Alliance Leicester, they probably need an underwriter to look into it in certain circumstances. Lovingitifitsabargain also mentions this in his thread.
If you do get rejected you should check experian to get a credit report to see if there is anything you should worry about.
With moneysupermarket.com it allows you to see a whole list of different loan providers and you can choose one that suits you. What you should have done was first research into what would be the cheapest annual rate and then had applied to one that suits you.
I don't think it would affect your credit file in a big way if you had applied to Moneyback in addition to Alliance Leicester, but it depends on your reasons. If the rate is cheaper ( alot cheaper ) then it would be better off but then you should have applied first through them and waited for there response. If the rates the same between the two loans, why bother.
It will appear as two separate searches on your credit file if you now apply to Moneyback. So I personally would wait for A&L response.nmiah786 wrote:Got a email from them within 5 minutes similar to yours. However then got another email saying:

Thanks for that.
I wait for A&L response before doing anymore applications. The rates are similar....its the same parent company.

I thought that too and applied to moneyback as was desperate to know not realising they are the same company - nothing was said though and got it ok - they were quick to reply too - paperwork came through within a day or two then money in bank within another couple so turn around was about a week - they will call you though to try and get you to take out the PPI just say you are not interested be firm with them !! that is of course if you dont want it - I never as pushed payment up loads - good luck (oh and I'd been turned down by Northern Rock the day before for the record )0 -
I just got a virgin one. Doesn't take long - about a week in total. 6.9%0

Did you pay the £45 up front, or was it added to the loan? I seem to remember somewhere that someone else did this and it built up some extra interest on the loan, you better check your agreement for this!
