Crown Currency Exchange seems to have gone belly up - loads of people who have pre ordered currency for holidays to lose.

Firstly, I am not aware that anything has been confirmed, but there are certainly strong rumours.

Second, it is quite possible that people will get their money back, either from their bank or (depending on what the situation is) from CCE.

Your title is (at least for now) a complete exaggeration.

Very strong rumours; and no, many of us will not get anything back because we will have paid by cheque or money transfer which is the chosen way CCE operated.

CCE's web site is still up and accessible with no warning/info for the
uninformed.

Occasionally in life exaggeration is justified, particularly if you are blissfully unaware and expecting a currency delivery in the next few days before going on (for instance) the holiday of a lifetime!

While i feel bad for people awaiting their foreign currency by looking at the other thread about this on here I was suprised at just how much people were exchanging - £4000 + in some instances.. Thats just plain stupid to take that amount of cash with you anyway

BBC Radio 4's Money Box programme has described Crown Currency Exchange as being "in trouble" and reports that the company has had its bank accounts frozen by Barclays in an effort to protect creditors.

The website look's normal but if you click on the Order Online button, you are given a message about technical problems before being redirected to another company which disclaims any responsibility for Crown Currency Exchange and is unable to answer any enquiries about them.

Unfortunately i fear not... The story line isnt fresh anymore and i think they struggled with new ideas for the last series. I think we have seen the last of Heros. i can only dream...
