Lets blame the bankers

There is a school of thought which blames Gordon Brown (remember him?) for the pickle we are in
Unfortunately for members of that school, G.B. was not there in Greece, nor Spain, nor Ireland, nor America, when those countries got themselves into a very similar pickle
Ecuador? Maybe that's where G.B. went for his summer holidays, and just had a bit of a laugh wrecking their economy instead of going binge-drinking
Probably, Dave and Nick's worst nightmare is that people in this country will hear the world-wide wake up call to the reminder of the real cause of the problem (as confirmed by Mervyn King)
Instead of General Strikes and Civil Unrest, I would propose a strike against The Banks. We should all withhold our loan and mortgage repayments, until The Banks start to cough up some of the funds needed to ensure the continuation of the services to which we are all entitled

What exactly is the difference between this thread and the dubiously motivated one you started 3 months ago?

Hi FatBalls, u still here?
There is probably little difference between the two threads, it's just that people all over the world are starting to resist the way the banks have recovered unscathed from the wreckage of their reckless behaviour, whilst the rest of us (including you?) pay a higher and higher price

I blame the Jews myself. Aren't all bankers Jews? That Rothschild bloke is and Mr HSBC probably is too. Even if he isn't he's got a dumb name.
I don't mind a bagel now and again though I prefer smoked salmon and cream cheese which isn't really kosher so you can't blame me.0 -

Very little - still pointless drivel.
As it is, at the rate the banks are recovering HMG should do very nicely out of the deal when they sell the shares that they acquired to assist some banks. That should help with at least paying the interest on the deficit.0 -

I have bought/owned/sold more houses than you ever will.

Your schools are falling down, and your hospitals are quite likely to start shutting wards
You/your friend/your relatives are quite likely to become unemployed, and it is likely that their 'benefits' will be reduced even further from whatever depths they have already reached
Your house is worthless, and likely to stay that way for years to come
Don't attack me! It wasn't me wot did it!

And the fact that you miss the point that if we DONT HAVE THE CASH, WE CANT AFFORD IT!MegaMiniMouse wrote: »Your schools are falling down, and your hospitals are quite likely to start shutting wards

Gordon was in charge of the banks remember, and whilst he was raking in tax revenue, didnt mind that his deregulation effectively caused the credit crunch from having a significant impact on the UK. The ONLY reason we are not in the same boat as Spain/Greece is that Labour inherited a solid gold one from the tories, who were on track to run a significant surplus.
Brown took it, and p*ssed it up the wall. The man quite frankly, should be shot for high treason.0 -

Thread title should read:
" Lets blame the bankers for lending, Government for not regulating and F@ckless borrowers for borrowing more than they could pay back".........................
Bit long winded I agree but at least accurate........;)0 -

And the Jews, don't forget them. My understanding of history is that if you are looking for a scapegoat then you have to include a Jewish angle.
Maybe I'm just a bit old fashioned. Nice win for The Lillywhites I note.0
