Moosetastic I saw your Fairy/Cheeky Monkey gifts (like snowman soup but milkshake) on the other thread - where did you course your smoothie cups from?
    xx

Hi Emma, I got them from Ebay, these are the cups - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/50-x-12oz-RECYCLABLE-CLEAR-PLASTIC-CUPS-/280572189926?pt=UK_BOI_Restaurant_RL&hash=item415367dce6

and these are the lids - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/100-x-PLASTIC-DOME-LIDS-STRAW-HOLE-/280572189945?pt=UK_BOI_Restaurant_RL&hash=item415367dcf9

They are really pricey, I originally got the cups from here and lids from somewhere else as they were cheaper, but the lids did not fit and I ended up buying from here anyway. Once made up, I sold them for £3.50 each so you can make your money back quite well, but its a lot to outlay to start with

They have the little pots in Poundstretcher, they are £1 for 4 but on 3 for 2 at the moment :)

Thanks hun, I appreciate that! :o

  • helen does use lables 8 cos i had them for bag toppers and told her to get them!!!!

lables 8 are bigger than most nesties so give you more options to find a bag for them to fit on, i fold mine portrait but i think helen folds hers landscape!
  • Has anyone seen candy canes this year? I looked in loads of places last year and couldn't find! I don't have Wilkinsons or Home Bargains here.

pound stretchers have them saw them on thursday check their website for a store locater:D

I thought as much re the labels, what a difference a digit makes. helen had messaged me stating it was 8 but I am certain I read 4 which was where the confusion began...it really doesn't take much.
  • OK, can anyone tell me please, what is the difference between a Cricut machine and a Big shot? Are the accessories interchangeable between the two?

My sisters friend is selling her Cricut and I am tempted (mainly by all the lovely items on this thread and the aspiration to recreate them as professionally :) )

I've asked how much she wants for it but wanted your advice before I commit......

    Thanks
It's easier to get forgiveness than to ask permission ;)

    Hope this helps
  • Blooming labels!!! I do have both sets 4 & 8 but I'm not as neat as Lisa and they are all bunged loose in the same box!

By having both sets it opens up a huge range of sizes that can be used on a wide variety of cello bags. - and as Lisa says - they can be used in Portrait and Landscape.

I have just done a tutorial for making sweetie bags without the need of all the crafting stuff like nestabilities, punches etc that I've been rabbiting on about ....as I appreciate not everyone is into crafting on such a scale as me ..... but would like to make the bags as simply and as cheaply as possible.

I hope to have it on here later in the day ..... but I need to recharge my camera to downlaod the pics.

Oh ....... forgot to add ...... have you tried "What Everyone Wants" shops for Candy Cane?

Talking of Candy Canes ..... this is my Candy Cane mouse .... you hang him from his tail on your christmas tree

I got the basic template from here

    http://dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com/dawns_stamping_thoughts/2008/11/candy-cane-mouse.html

and then adapted it to suit me

    Back%20view%20of%20Candy%20Cane%20Mouse_thumb%5B2%5D.jpg?imgmax=800

This is the back view ...... but I think I should have have added a small strip of double sided tape under the cane, so much neater than the huge wad of sellotape in the pic.

If you google candycane mouse you will get lots of variations.
