I've been reading through quiet a bit of this thread and I'm so inspired! Lots of great ideas I'm going to use this year.
My first crafting christmas.... Exciting!:D:rudolf: :xmassmile0 -
The orignal ES mints were made using punches from a Stampin'Up Demonstrator ..... they are quite expensive but excellent quality. Just do a search for Stampin'Up and then contact a demonstrator through that .... there are 100's of demonstrators so plenty of choice!
You will need a scalloped circle and 1 3/8 plain circle punch.
On the other hand you could look for nesting punches from X Cut
like these http://www.theglitterpot.co.uk/scripts/prodlist.asp?idcategory=809 but you'd have to work out what sizes you would need0 -
just noticed that sainsburys have got packs of 4 'simple' soap on offer for 99p. thought this might be good for flannel reindeers etc, especially as the soap is so 'pure' and great for sensitive skin. HTH x0

Thanks for the soap info jakesbakescakes, will look into it next week.
A question for those of you who sell at fairs...how much stock to you make and take with you?
I am in the middle of making things for 2 craft fairs in six weeks time, they are only 2 days apart , so I am worried about having enough things made for both of them.
I am making small purses, bags and wallets, with a few larger bags. I am also knitting scarves using the loopy/frilly yarns, as well as some xmas decs. There will also be flannel reindeer, sock cupcakes and some sweets bagged up too, as well as some ES decs. I am thinking of making some crayon/pencil rolls too for kids.
With the fairs being at the end of November, at least if I have things left over, then I can use some of them as Xmas presents!!! :rotfl:

I stick a scalloped circle on the back in the same colour as the front one . I don't decorate the back circle just the front one.
I stick the mint to the circles with double sided tape.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

I've always done it that way to hide the scraggly ends of the ribbon
Makes it look much nicer
