just been getting myself ready for the craft fair tomorrow  and after feeling so bad for my mum on the last one where she didnt sell anything
(she sells framed photos) I have sat and made her some sock cupcakes to put on her stall to try and entice the customers as most people have had positive feedback from them. I figure if she can just sell those it at least pays for her stall as i dont want her to have another fair where she sits and gets told how fab her stuff is but no-one puts their hands in their purses

Oh no, I posted on here via iphone and can't see the msg. Anyway I posted this afternoon to say all went well, we were really busy. Best sellers sock monkeys and wooden crafted hearts with names etc on. Also reindeer food. Worse seller snowman food, it cost me £1 to make and I ended up selling a few at cost! Anyway took £120.60p, just worked out costs for each item sold and total profit for items sold is £71.09p. Really pleased have a few orders for sock monkeys as well. I will take the rest of reindeer poop/food to toddler grp and sell! I would love to post a pic, can anyone help me do this? I have been a member for like ever but not got enought thank yous or something!0

Found this on the old style prep for Xmas board - the OP was freyasmum -
Quote:
Right:
500g golden granulated sugar
500ml whipping cream
50ml Baileys (there was a free mini bottle on the freebies board a while back, this was the exact right size - you might like to try there before you rush out for a bottle)
150g white chocolate (cheapest available)
Butter and line a 22cm x 22cm tin, leaving a small overhang. Put sugar, cream and Baileys in a large pan and, stirring slowly, bring it to a simmer. Make sure the sugar is dissolved (it will stop feeling grainy on the base of the pan), then turn the heat up to a rolling boil.- Adjust the heat until the mixture bubbles without getting too near the top of the pan. Keep bubbling, stirring occasionally, until a small amount of mixture dropped into a glass of cold water will form a soft ball that you can pick up on the end of a teaspoon.
- At this stage, the bubbles will have gone from being large and unruly to smaller and more even. Stir in the chocolate and pour the mixture into the tin. Cool and cut.
I cut mine in different sized triangles, dripped with white chocolate and covered in milk chocolate stars. Wrapped in a little cellophane, with some ribbon and you're good to go :j
Just to reiterate not my recipe but Ive made it and it came out lovely!!
