coupons?

have all of the supermarkets changed their policies on accepting coupons?

havent used any for ages but tried using couple the other day in sainsburys and they said i have to have bought the item?

it never used to be like this? Are all supermarkets the same?

My Sainsburys have always been picky and have always required a purchase. I usually use my vouchers in ASDA - they now have put up posters in my store the limit is now 10% but some checkout assisants take more. I used to feed all my vouchers into the self scan at ASDA with no problems but now they have the 10% notices on them so I usually just find a friendly person on the tills.

I some times use vouchers in Tesco and have had no rejections in my store. Some people use the self scan machines in Tesco - it seems it vary down to the store to store what the machines accept or need to have checked.

From previous posts about this subject most Waitrose stores have the most generous unlimited coupon policy (one person had a refusal in one store).

Recently my local Tesco did the same and the checkout lady refused coupons for items I had not bought.
So next time I used them on the self serve tills.

Try waitrose - they are great with coupons - usually unlimited amounts!!
