Looking for a bad credit loan (I think)

Hello

Im new but i think this is the right place to post.
Im looking for advice on loans, I will need one in the beginning of November for £2000-£3000, hopefully the lower amount and as the title says im not sure if you would class my credit file as bad.

My bank can not currently offer me one and i dont want to put credit check on my file.
I have a previous loan with £900 left with my bank (no missed payments) and a credit card with £1500 (one missed payment about 4 months ago).

other than that i havnt missed any payments on anything else like phone bills and stuff. I got my credit report last week from Experian and it was all good apart fromt he one missed payment I mentioned.

Does anyone know of any loand companies that may be able to offer me a loan? I dont mind if the intrest is a little bit higher than usual because its quite urgent that I get the loan so any help would be much appreciated
thanks x

If you're bank can't help, you're likely to be down to the bottom feeders who will charge massive interest, fees and make you feel like s**t

Another way may be to get (if possible) a 0% credit card with a decent limit but with a missed payment, this seems unlikely.

Soory I couldn't be more help.

    you do have a chance

try black horse loans, Yes Secure, Zopa, confused.com

there's nothing wrong with having a few searches on your file, how else are you supposed to find the best deal...?

as long as it's not more than 3 or 4 in any 3 month period and you should be fine

your bank used to be the 1st port of call, but not anymore in my opinion

if you subscribe to experian, use their 'lower my bills' tool for a quotation search that doesn't leave a footprint on your file

Be very careful with this, several people have reported that Experian will pass your details to some outfit called Apex Loans or something who are a company who charge not to find you a load and then take more money anyway :p
