Kensington Mortgages

Does anyone have any experience having a mortgage with Kenginston?

Myself and my gf are struggling to find a mortgage due to adverse credit on my part and the Kensington have been recommeded to us by our independent broker?

Whatever I find on the internet is a bit contradicting?

Thanks

  • Recently back in the market but not an 'adverse lender' in the same way as they were BCC (before credit crunch).

A little more flexible in some criteria than many others and promising "a bit more product innovation" for the future.

If you match their criteria (and presmably your broker is confident you do) no reason not to go to them in my view.

Ignore everything you can find about Kensington. They are a completely different company today than they were when they operated as a sub prime lender.

Also keep in mind you will only ever read reviews from people who are compalining about charges or repossession which only occur when payments are not maintained.
Not many reviews saying 'I love my mortgage company, they take my payments each month and we get along just fine'

    Kensington will not loan 85%.

Speak to your broker. They should be able to guide you. If you are unhappy tell them or find another.

    Good luck
