Well yesterday was supposed to be one but ended up not being (sigh) and today deff wont be as its my normal shopping day!! Did have a thought tho - at work we have a cash free canteen which requires topping up a card and using that to spend in the canteen. Yesterday I used this card to buy toast at breakfast time (10p) but I've not been counting this in the NS challenge because i've not used the actual cash - I have, however, been declaring a spend day when I top the card up as its real money going from my pocket (or purse or bank etc) does everyone else thing this is ok or is the cheating hmmmmmmmmmmm???

That's sensible. I wouldn't class it as cheating at all.

Donna, if your heating and water is still off, you should be entitled to a rent rebate. They're pretty essential to your wellbeing! Have a look at the Shelter website and check out your rights.

Number 6 for me today :D

My computer is slow too... Me thinks it's conspiracy! Those thought police aren't too keen on free thoughts! Just ask Winston!

  • Not a NSD for me today - expected a spendy day so that's OK.

re: New York - if we're having cocktails, please can I have a plastic monkey with a large appendage stuck into my melons? I'd like the cocktail I had on holiday in August, which was called an "Orgasmo" please! No idea of the recipe, but it was based on chocolate milkshake and tasted GORGEOUS!

    Hoping for another NSD tomorrow......

Hic! Show me the way to go home.....aren't we there yet? Whatcha mean, we're passing over north west Scotland? Thought we were going to Noo York, not Alaska....

Steady on with the driving, Spoon, some of us have a rather delicate constitution at present....must have been a dodgy Cosmopolitan....Igor? What exactly did you put in the cocktails?
Let me get behind the bar and show you how to make a Wally Headbanger....move your big a s s, Dopey (blooming Hubert always gets in the way...)Now, who's for a Gorgonzola Martini? Or a pilchard marguerhita? They don't call me the cocktail queen for nothing......

Ok, so let's call the register. Aliens on top of Tardis - check. Spoon in the driving seat - check. Dopey, Elf, Nic, SF, Hubert, various small furry animals, all present and correct if not quite standing upright - check. Me? Oh yes, I'm here too, just rustling up a little something for a snack - Pot Noodle, anyone? Igor behind bar - Igor? Anyone seen Igor? What's that out there, that big thing looming up out of the harbour with all the lights?

Igor!!! What are you doing sitting on that giant statue of a woman holding a flaming torch? Put her torch down, Igor, there will be plenty of time for souvenir shopping later, we need to find the way to Central Park...everybody keep a lookout for lots of people doing that thinking thing they do....
