Any energy saving freebies around just now?

I received a couple of standby saver adaptors from an energy company a couple of years ago. I could use one or two more for my Dad.
Are there any freebies going about at the moment?

standby savers dont save a lot of money.. maybe 3-5 years payback. some thing like a inkjet printer it would cost more.. ink jet printers clean the printer head every time your turn them on. but laser paper used about 40-60w in standby so they you would save.
