I've got a buyer coming to look at my late husband's exercise equipment. There's a ton of them, and I don't even know the name of some of them!
(need to look up market prices)
There's this thing that comprises of three long poles. You put your feet against the two outer ones, and pull the middle one. As you pull it closer to you, the outer poles force your legs further apart. (ouch!)
Anyhow, does anyone know what it's called, please? I've tried looking up keywords in google and ebay, but to no avail (lots of advice on google on how to do the splits, though!)

And there's another one. Two wooden sticks, each with a short wooden handle sticking out at right angles a few inches from one end. The idea is that you hold it, and the long wooden bit runs from just behind your elbows to a few inches beyond your hand. So now you've got a pair of truncheons that you bash people with.
He showed me how to use them, but I've forgotten what they're called! Just realising that I'm beginning to sound like a really violent bundle of fur, aren't it?0 -
something like 3 bar metal leg stretcher or maxi flex leg stretcher.
Truncheons sound like TonfaMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
Thank you so much. Google is bringing up the correct images when I type the words in, so you're absolutely spot on. Thank you, thank you, thank you! :j0

Oh yea, that's the way to do it. He came for one specific thing, but the one bit of equipment I could demo(the bo staff), he bought too. *makes mental note to think about how to demo the other things*0

Can't help with the naming of parts, but having a bit of a giggle at the thought of you demonstrating various instruments of torture! :rotfl:Signature removed for peace of mind0

Glad to help.
Trying to figure out how to demo the leg split thing without the (inevitably male) buyers getting the wrong idea!0
